Case size and width
Apple’s 42mm, 46mm and 49mm size names describe case height, rather than width. Series 12 ceramic cases are 1mm taller than their size names; the larger ceramic case is also 1mm wider than the equivalent aluminum or titanium version.
How much larger is Ultra 4?
Compared with the 46mm aluminum or titanium Series 12, Ultra 4 adds 3mm of height, 4mm of width and 2.3mm of thickness. Start with Series 12 if you prefer a smaller outline, or compare Ultra 4 for more wrist coverage.
